Trailblazing

This is for the movers and shakers,

the ones who aren’t afraid to trailblaze, 

whose essence isn't for the faint of heart.

Tear down and start anew,

few close calls coupled with some low blows, 

stand tall through it all and push forward is the only play,

for tomorrow is a mystery so today it’s the only game I want to play.

Ruffle a feather or two,

leaving behind others opinions of you,

they're going to say something anyway,

So why not make them pay for entry?

My life is in constant flux, 

so keeping my head on a swivel is a must,

no time to be on the sidelines cheering from afar,

So I opt to take my doubts and beliefs with me as I shoot for the stars.

I was always told talk is cheap,

and if fortune favours the bold,

leaving nothing up to chance,

merely means that good fortune is waiting just behind the fold.
